Welcome to my setup page. Here you can see what I play and what other uses I have found for my drums. After all, if some day I decide to become something other than a drummer, it comforts me to know that I will at least be able to put those old tubs to some good use.

As you can see, I have discovered that old, used underwear can be very useful. I always tell my students that in order to preserve one's hearing, it is of great importance that they shield their ears while practicing. In addition, by muffling the cymbals, they can hear the bead of the stick and adjust their cymbal beat accordingly. Old underwear works great for this purpose....preferrably clean!

My setup consists of the following: All old vintage Gretch drums. (Round insignia) Sizes: BD (Formerly FL TT) 16" / 16", SN DR 6 1/2" / 14", TT's 8" / 12", 9" / 13", 14" / 14". Cymbals: Hi Hats...14" A' Zildjian New Beats; Old K' Zildjian rides...Left 20", Right 22"; A' Zildjian crash...15"; Old China (make unknown)...17" - Bought for $5 at antique shop in MA....I love it! Hardware: DW Hi Hat Stand...Old Gretch BD pedal.

Here's a front view of my setup. My dog, Brandy, is MUCHO DEAF, however my biggest fan!!!! Could never get him to wear earplugs!

Last, but not least...when you finally get to play with some great players and want to exchange phone numbers after the gig but can't seem to find anything to write on....well those drum heads are always good for something besides banging.
